House Intel committee chair: if top spies won't come to us, we'll visit them
At USA TODAY by Erin Kelly --
If the nation's top spies won't come to Congress, then Congress will go to them.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, angry that intelligence officials won't come to Capitol Hill to brief the panel on Russia's attempts to interfere with the U.S. presidential election, said Friday that committee members plan to visit the CIA, FBI, National Security Agency and Office of the Director of National Intelligence in January.
Nunes had asked the agencies to brief his committee this week on their investigation of Russia's cyber attacks on American political committees, which the CIA has reportedly concluded were aimed at helping President-elect Donald Trump and hurting Democrat Hillary Clinton.
